What are security seals
Security seals are used to seal mail bags to enable secure shipping and avoid loss or theft of documents during transport. OfficeBull has its own injection molding plant where numerous security seals are produced. The company also has several molds in her possession that were developed per model. To make each seal unique and recognizable, different colors are possible and the seal can be printed. The printing content will depend on the size of the seal and can consist of: company logo, company name, unique number, bar coding, and so on.
How does a security seal work?
A security seal is a single-use sealing system or security lock to seal zippers. When using a security seal, a special lock is attached to the mailing bag. When closing the zipper, the zipper or tractor is placed in this lock. Once in the lock, a seal is pushed through the zipper into the lock so that the zipper gets stuck and can no longer be opened. To reopen the zipper, the seal must be broken. Once it is broken, the seal can not be used again. A broken seal therefore indicates an open zipper during transport = security risk = control required.
